Some love stories are tied to places, and for Lindsey and Kristopher, their journey has always circled back to meaningful spots. From meeting at The College of New Jersey, to getting engaged at the campus fountain, and finally saying “I do” overlooking the water at Clarks Landing Yacht Club, their story has unfolded in settings that feel like home.

From College Sweethearts to Forever

Lindsey and Kris first crossed paths at a TCNJ alumni-favorite nightspot, and by spring 2017, they were officially together. Their proposal years later was filled with thoughtful detail: Kris planned a walk through TCNJ, their tradition, but stopped Lindsey at the water fountain to ask the biggest question of all. Friends hiding nearby captured the moment in photos, and Kris had another surprise waiting… both of their families at dinner afterward. It was the perfect way to bring everything full circle!

A Coastal Elegant Celebration

When it came time to choose a venue, Lindsey and Kris only toured one: Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant, NJ. With its water views, newly renovated spaces, and timeless coastal charm, they instantly knew it was the one. With a representation for “infinity”, their chosen date, 8/8, in their 8th year together, made it even more meaningful.

The wedding aesthetic was a beautiful nod to both their love story and their personalities. Inspired by TCNJ’s colors, Lindsey and Kris chose a palette of soft blues, whites, and touches of yellow, perfectly blending coastal elegance with a personal twist. Even the signature drinks followed the theme: “Blue and Gold Fashioned,” “Kris’ Crush” (a play on the favorite summer drink of the Jersey Shore, the orange crush), and the tropical “Better Together.”

Every detail tied back to the shore and their story: a sand ceremony blending sand from Lindsey’s hometown beach and Kris’ family time in Cape May, coastal-inspired décor like buoys for table numbers, personalized beach tags for guests, and seashell-themed favors. From their Adirondack chair cake topper to the late-night Jersey Shore snack station, it was a celebration that felt authentically them.

Favorite Wedding Day Moments at Clarks Landing

Lindsey and Kris shared so many moments they’ll never forget:

• Their first look on the dock, with water shimmering around them.
• Reading personal vows, filled with joy and happy tears.
• Their first dance as the sun sank over the marina.
• A private start to their cocktail hour, savoring the first minutes of marriage together.

As if the day wasn’t perfect enough, the weather gave them a true gift: an 80-degree, sunny August day on the shore, capped with a breathtaking sunset.

If you ask Lindsey and Kris for wedding planning advice, their words are simple: enjoy every step. From tastings to tux shopping, to choosing details like napkin colors, it’s all part of the experience. They recommend carving out intentional moments on the day itself to pause, breathe, and soak it all in together. “It all goes so fast,” Lindsey shared, “but when you take the time to look around and see all your favorite people in one place, you realize just how special it is.”
