Creating Your Wedding Day Timeline

Both of the timelines below are geared towards a wedding in which the ceremony and reception are to take place at the same venue without a break in between, with a ceremony start time of 5:00pm. This is just a guide to consider in developing your wedding timeline so you can get an idea of what your day may look like. If at any time you have questions about the logistics of your wedding day, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Example 1: No First Look

2:00 PHOTOGRAPHER(S) ARRIVE AT PREP LOCATION(S)

  • PHOTOGRAPH DETAILS FIRST

2:15 BRIDE GETTING READY PHOTOS (NICOLE)

  • MAKE UP AND HAIR TOUCHUPS
  • BRIDESMAIDS & MOM SHOULD BE DRESSED BEFORE BRIDE PUTS DRESS ON
  • DAD’S FIRST LOOK (IF APPLICABLE)

2:15 GROOM GETTING READY PHOTOS (2ND SHOOTER)

  • GROOMSMEN SHOULD BE READY FIRST
  • PHOTOGRAPH FINISHING TOUCHES FOR GROOM (TIE, CUFF LINKS, SHOES)

4:30 CEREMONY AND RECEPTION DETAIL SHOTS AS BRIDAL PARTY GETS READY

5:00 CEREMONY (30 MINUTES)

5:30 FAMILY PHOTOS FOLLOWED BY BRIDAL PARTY PORTRAITS (DURING COCKTAIL HOUR)
