Fun Coastal Wedding at The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank

From Facebook DMs to Forever: A Red Bank Love Story

Christina and Matt’s story began at Rowan University, where they were both active in Greek life. Though they knew of each other, their paths didn’t officially cross until after college—when Christina sent a bold (and fateful) DM on Facebook. What started as a simple message soon grew into something steady, deep, and enduring.

Years later, surrounded by family, Matt proposed in a moment that was both cinematic and personal. He arranged for both of their families to meet for dinner at Anjelica’s, but before the meal they walked the beach at the Edgewater Beach Club, a place they frequented as their family are members. There, with red flowers, champagne, and candles set against the December shoreline, he got down on one knee. Her family watched hidden from a cabana, and his stood nearby on the beach—ready to cheer, snap photos, and celebrate her “yes”.

Elegant Coastal Wedding at The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ

A wedding day on the water always brings a sense of ease and romance—but Christina and Matt’s celebration at The Oyster Point Hotel in Red Bank, NJ, took that coastal charm to a new level. Set against views of the Navesink River, their spring wedding was filled with sentimental touches, joyful reunions, and dance floor magic.

Getting Ready at The Oyster Point Hotel: Joy, Nerves & Thoughtful Details

Christina and Matt each got ready at the venue, surrounded by family and friends. Her bridal details were styled with soft blush florals, gold, classic greenery accents, and borrowed elegance—most notably, her veil, which belonged to her sister and maid of honor, Lisa.

In another frame, Matt’s accessories—including a sleek leather watch and formal shoes—rest next to a handwritten note. The energy in the getting-ready rooms was a mix of anticipation and excitement. Christina slipped into her gown with floral appliqués and a corset bodice, helped by her mother and sister, while Matt buttoned his cuffs alongside his groomsmen and family.

A Dockside First Look in Red Bank

Christina and Matt shared their first look just feet from the water, and the joy on their faces was undeniable. “Taking a minute to ourselves on the dock is something I’ll never forget,” Christina later shared. It was peaceful, sincere, and one of the most intimate moments of the day.

A Personal & Family-Centered Ceremony

Christina’s cousin Michael officiated their ceremony, while her older cousins Eric and Vincent walked her mom down the aisle—a beautiful nod to family. Their ceremony took place indoors, with natural light pouring in through the windows overlooking the river.

Guests were welcomed with personalized wedding favors: NJ lottery tickets at each seat, a playful and local touch that reflected the couple’s roots.

An Unforgettable Dance Floor at The Oyster Point Ballroom

The reception felt like pure celebration. The Oyster Point ballroom was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and nonstop dancing. “We really had the best night with all of our friends and family,” Christina said. “Seeing how happy everyone looked on the dance floor made us feel so loved.”

Flip flops were set out for guests, ensuring no one had to leave the party early due to sore feet. From the band playing their favorite songs to everyone dancing their hearts out, every moment was saturated with happiness and connection.

Working With NKP: In the Couple’s Words

“The entire NKP team was so helpful and fun throughout the whole day,” Christina wrote. “They were always there to help us, as well as my parents—holding glasses for photos, helping them walk, and making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Even the guys had a great time taking all the pictures!”

As photographers, we felt so honored to capture not only the beauty of this day, but also the laughter, warmth, and deep connection Christina and Matt share—with each other and with their community.
