The NKP wedding photography experience includes a lot more than just taking your pretty photos. This page is a guide to the various steps and average timeframes involved in working with me on your wedding from start to finish. Here's what you can expect...
After Booking
You're booked! Thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing one of the best days of your life! I'm so excited to get to know you two during the process and experience this exciting time with you guys. I'll be in touch several times leading up to your big day, but always feel free to reach out to me with any questions or important information along the way.

9 Months Before
If we haven't already scheduled your engagement session by now, I'll be in touch to get that on our calendars! Start to think about what type of engagement session you'd like and what you'd like to wear. Check out my wardrobe inspiration on Pinterest.
Planning Tip: If you'd like to feature some of your engagement photos on your Save the Dates, it's best to hold your session 6-8 months before your wedding.
6-8 Months Before
Your engagement session is here! In 2-3 weeks after your session, I'll have all of your images ready for delivery. If you'll be using your images for your Save the Dates, I can even help you with the design at no extra charge. You can see some of my customizable options here.
Planning Tip: Start shopping for that gift registry! Try out Zola Gift Registry for something fun and different, and get a little credit with my referral link. (I loved this option for my own wedding!)
6 Months Before
I'll be in touch a few times as you are planning out your big day. If you have any questions along the way, don't hesitate to reach out to me!
Planning Tip: It's time to get those Save the Dates out in the mail so your guests reserve your wedding date on their calendars!
4 Months Before
I've saved the most important questionnaire for last. At this point, I'll be emailing you a wedding prep questionnaire that helps me collect all of the important details surrounding your wedding day. From the names of your wedding party and family members to your first dance song, I'll use all of this information to help you put together the most detailed timeline for your wedding day so I don't miss a thing!
Planning Tip: Honeymooning immediately after your wedding day? Finalize those plans now so you can fantasize about the amazing trip you booked when things get stressful over the next few months.
1 Month Before
I'll check in one month before your wedding to see how things are going and get you on my calendar for your final meeting. It's recommended that we get together (or chat on the phone if you're long distance) in the final two weeks before your big day, when all of the details are sorted out.
Planning Tip: This is a great time to give your hair and makeup team a heads up on their approximate start time for the day. Keep in mind that you'll need to be done with your hair and makeup 1 hour before we'll need to leave your getting ready location for the first look or ceremony.
1-2 Weeks Before
We'll hold your pre-wedding meeting during this time. Afterwards, I'll put together a detailed schedule and send it your way for your approval.
Planning Tip: Schedule some time to pamper yourself with final hair and nail appointments.
1 Week Before
As I prep my gear for your wedding day, I'll be in touch with all of your other vendors to introduce myself and confirm details. You'll receive an email from me with your final invoice, if you still have a balance, which is due by your wedding day.
Planning Tip: It's crunch time! Get plenty of rest this week. Schedule a date to pick up your dress and tux and start gathering everything you'll need for your wedding day. For some tips on what to pack, check out my detail shot list.
Wedding Day!
It's officially the best day ever! Relax and take it all in. I'm looking forward to being alongside you all day long. It's going to be amazing!
1 Week After
Look out for sneak peeks from your beautiful day on the NKP social media accounts!
1-2 Months After
After the wedding, I immediately begin to work on processing your images, culling through the thousands taken, color correction, and other edits before they are ready to be exported and uploaded to your online gallery. In approximately 2-3 months after your wedding day, you will receive an exciting email from me containing the link to your wedding collection and other important information!
2+ Months After
As you look through your wedding photos, decide on which image you'd like to select for your 16 x 20 canvas that came with your package, and if you'll be ordering a wedding album, reach out to me when you're ready to start the album design process.
Your online gallery will expire 1 year after delivery, so feel free to browse the images as often as you'd like, and place any print orders before then. Review the email I sent when it was delivered for that expiration date and other important information regarding your gallery.

Moving? If at any time leading up to your wedding day, or within the first year after, please let me know if you've moved so I can update your address I have on file. While I try to keep most of my business digital, I do like to send a few goodies to you along the way!
