Yes, my entire team always has multiple cameras and other equipment on hand at every wedding just in case something runs into any kind of technical issue.

What is your image backup process?

All of my team's cameras shoot on 2 memory cards so I always have 2 copies of every image captured.  I store 1 set in a fireproof safe after I get home and also back the images up in multiple places on hard drives and in the cloud. I guarantee in my contract that I will keep a set of all edited images for 1 year after delivery.

Edited wedding photos are delivered between 2-3 months after the wedding day, with a large number of sneak peeks sent in the few weeks after the wedding day.  Engagement photos have a turnaround time of 1-2 weeks. I also offer save the dates and share all of the options for those with the engagement image delivery.

Most people don't feel very comfortable being photographed.  Totally normal!  Whether it's during a portrait session or on a wedding day, I'll provide light guidance on posing to get you a good variety of photos and showcase your natural relationship.

How many images will we get?

I don't have a set number of images delivered for either sessions or weddings, but the average portrait session delivery is between 100-150 photos and for weddings I usually estimate 75-100 images per hour of coverage. Most wedding clients receive over 1,000 images.

I only have a travel fee for portrait sessions taking place at locations more than 40 miles from my hometown (Waretown, NJ), and for most weddings outside of NJ.

what exactly does "all day" coverage mean?

All day wedding coverage means that I start 2.5 hours before you need to leave for either your ceremony or first look and at least one photographer will be there until 1 hour prior to the end of your reception.  You won't need to miss coverage of any important moments on your wedding day, and I'll help you build out your entire timeline.

Who will be the 2nd photographer on our wedding day?

I have a team of very experienced wedding photographers who work for me regularly as my second photographer on wedding days. I assign them based on their availability as it gets closer to each wedding.

How long are the engagement shoots? Will I be able to do an outfit change?

What should we wear to our portrait session?

Engagement sessions are typically 60-90 minutes and they're held in the evening closer to sunset for the most flattering lighting.  Some couples choose to do an outfit change midway through to have more variety in their images.  You can see more tips on engagement sessions on the blog.

I always recommend keeping your outfits to a set of 2 or 3 complimentary colors, with limited patterns.  Avoid logos or text on your clothing.  One great tip is to consider the location where you will be displaying your prints.  Try to dress in a way that looks nice with the color scheme of your home, for example, so your images fit right in!  You can see some great inspiration on what to wear on my Pinterest board here.

All of my contracts include a print release, so you can print your high resolution images anywhere you'd like.  I highly recommend using the professional print labs that I work with in your gallery's print shop to ensure proper coloring and high quality paper quality.  I cannot guarantee the quality of other consumer labs.  Copyright will always remain with Nicole Klym Photography.

In the event that the forecast calls for a good chance of rain or high winds, we will discuss rescheduling your session for a new date.  Due to the fact that the forecast changes constantly, I try to make this decision on the morning of the session, if possible.  If you need advance notice because of hair/makeup appointments, please let me know.

In the very rare scenario that I had an emergency or was too sick to be there the day of your wedding, my assigned second photographer would step up as lead. I only have people on my team who also lead their own weddings for their own businesses so the extra responsibility is never a problem. Then, I would hire a last-minute replacement for the second photographer role. I have a big community of local photographers so that's never an issue to get somebody last minute. I would still handle all of the post processing after the wedding like usual.
